Vestfrost aims to lower inventory and increase productivity with Videlity VMI

Vestfrost is Denmark's largest manufacturer of refrigerators and freezers, and one of the world's largest manufacturers of chest freezers. Since the company was founded in 1963, production lines in Esbjerg Denmark have supplied more than 12 million refrigerators and freezers to happy and satisfied customers throughout the world.

Vestfrost is becoming part of the Videlity community by implementing Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) with Consignment.

Vestfrost’s Challenge
Thousands of different parts are used in Vestfrost’s factories. The large number of unique products made it impossible for employees to manually control and optimize inventory levels. In addition to this challenge, Vestfrost was very interested in entering into consignment inventory agreements with their suppliers, a function for which their ERP system offered no support.

Why did they choose Videlity?
Vestfrost expects that their Videlity VMI solution with Consignment functionality will meet these challenges and more. With seamless connectivity, Videlity not only automates information exchange but also the VMI process, significantly lowering inventory while requiring human intervention only in the case of exceptions. This will allow Vestfrost to lower costs and use their resources much more efficiently. In addition, Videlity completes the function of their current ERP system by providing automated consignment functionality that is quick and easy to implement and scale.
